Making Men Out Of Boys
and stopped to respond at the quote above.
I am not a father, will never be a father in the biological sense.
But the premise of the text you provided is about influence in a young boy's life,
in shaping the development of his life and livelihood.
I have other feelings regarding the glorification and ramifications of: " legendary in Islamic history "
In my mind, wisdom would have decided that what was in the boys best interest is learning from his biological father, and if Muhammad was so inclined, provide for schooling and work for the father if needed.
That act would have strengthened the bond between father & son much more than the separating of a family due to influence and power.
If a beggar, is also a father, is He less of a father, begging for alms or food to provide for his family?
I know what I state above could be construed as controversial but,
it is my perception and interpretation of what I gleaned from reading the story.
In fact, this posts contents dove-tails nicely with a song I just posted down in the POEM section.
It's title is: Invisible people~time~no new messages
When you say:
We must include actions and motives for these results in our society today.
A struggling farmer, with a wife and nine sons ...
A Wallstreet Banker, a wife, a mistress and one son, sent away for training ...

Since my return, I have been 'walking on eggshells' in my postings and
it was pointed out to me that I have been offering an "apology, in advance" .
For this, I sincerely apologize, in advance :)Please Re-update your Signature
