  • How to spend time on the bus/tube/train?

    Bismillah,

Salam alekum wa rahmatullah wa barakeetuh,

How to spend your time well and beneficially when you are traveling on bus/tube/train?
I'm not able to read, as it gives me headache. And all my day would be spoiled.

      Put some earbuds on.
You could listen to Qur'an, lectures, Tajweed lessons, podcasts, audio fiqh classes, so many things to listen to nowadays.

Or you could just do dhikr with your fingers.

I take a break sometimes and smile at random strangers, it's a fun game, some smile back whilst others shuffle away from me nervously.
If more than half are nervous, I win.
There is rest only in the aakhira.
Man will rest in the aakhira according to how hard he strives in dunya.

      - Khaalid Ibn Al Waleed (ra) -

If you find yourself in a time where speech is regarded as knowledge,
and knowledge is regarded as deeds,
then you are in the worst of times, with the worst of people.

      - Abu Hazim Al Ashja'i (ra) -

I saw a dog without any clothes on .
      That's right, a nude dog.
      The Deepweb is disgusting.

Reflection, Reviewing Quran, staring at the sky and pondering.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “It will be said to the companion of the Qur’an: ‘Read, and ascend, and recite as you used to recite in the [previous] world, for your status will be according to the last verse that you recite.’” [At-Tirmidhi (2914) and Abu Dawood (1464)]

Think of a statement you disagree with.

Come up with as many refutations as possible.
You think you know more than my scholar's qiyās? He was more learned than you and all other scholars combined. Yeah, the devil was the greatest scholar too and look where his qiyās of fire being better than tīn got him. Sorry.

You follow your scholar's qiyās, and I will follow the Qur'ān and Sunnah.

One fun game is to pull the persons hair and pretend like you're a just a regular old bus using citizen. Or on the tube musical chairs like once those doors open you are GETTIG A SEAT. Or like if u hold onto nothing u can work on your balance for whenever you might wanna take up surfing

JazakAllahu khair. Ma sha'Allah very beneficial ideas.
Listening Quran, lectures, etc. is good but smartphones battery are so bad.
I do that at times, but i'm running to risk not be able to call with phone...Alhamdulillah.

Here, may run in trouble. Some people take offence, if you look straight. Even you aren't looking them. But, true very relaxing, Alhamdulillah.

"My servants, you who have transgressed against yourselves, do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Truly Allah forgives all wrong actions. He is the Ever-Forgiving, the Most Merciful." (Surat az-Zumar: 53)
