    Okay the symptoms you've described so far do not sound like schizophrenia but they definitely sound like a social anxiety disorder which my best friend also has and takes medication for it which helps take the edge off it and makes him feel more functional, though it's not a cure or a miracle. If you decide against taking meds though, it's worth looking up alternatives such as dietary changes for example increasing intake of foods with natural mood enhancing properties like saffron, dark chocolate, a pinch of nutmeg here and there etc (taking supplements of omega 3s, 5-15mg lithium orotate per day, b12 sublingual and have your vitamin d and magnesium levels checked). Other alternative therapies would be things like accupuncture, maybe homeopathy but make sure whatever you try is permitted as some therapies involve other belief systems such as reiki, yoga etc.
