Edit: If you are unable to vote, then quote the lecture you want to listen to and add +1 to it and I'll tally up the votes for the poll.

        Great idea
Ibnul Qayyim رحمه الله said: "Don’t ruin your happiness with worry, and don’t ruin your mind with pessimism. Don’t ruin your success with deception and don’t ruin the optimism of others by destroying it. Don’t ruin your day by looking back at yesterday.

You could be sleeping and the doors of the heavens are being opened with dua’as being made on your behalf, SubhanAllaah: perhaps from someone poor whom you helped, or someone sad whom you brought joy, or someone passing by and you smiled at him, or someone in distress and you removed it.. so don’t ever underestimate any good deeds."

I love watching Norman Ali Khan lectures, his stuff is like common sense type of stuff, but always nice to see him using ayats and Hadith to back his claims. This is a good video for majority of the Ummah forum members considering some of the threads/post I've read.

          Jazakallah for sharing.

Seems like NAK is the way to go, but there's still time to vote on what we should all listen to inshaa'Allah.

In an effort to booast the Islamic section of this forum, I thought it would be a fun idea if we all listen to a lecture a week and then discuss it here. That way, not only do we learn the deen and get closer to Allah, but we work together to make it happen by sharing our thoughts, our questions, and everything else felt during the lecture.

If you guys are cool with this, then we'd need to figure out what lecture we'd want to listen to for next week. If you have another idea on what we can do to get everyone into the Islamic feels, then share away here.
              exellent thread!!!!

                    Re: Islamic Lectures Discussion thread

NAK won, so the thread to discuss his lecture Islam & Ego is up.

http://www.ummah.com/forum/showthrea...cussion-Thread <- I've embedded the video, so you can view it there and left a link to the audio version.

If you have time, please take a listen and share your thoughts. I feel like this is an important topic and one that the forum really needs to hear. If there's another lecture you'd like to listen to for next week, then post your nominates here inshaa'Allah and I'll make a new poll once we reach five.

                        Ya Allah,
Make me a stronger person today. Make me a better person out of all these. It is no longer bearable for me for my heart is aching and You are the only One who knows how I feel. Nothing is making sense to myself and for anyone else for that matter especially to the one person I wish to understand me better than anybody else.
