I know lots of guys with hair like that (mostly skaters) but they keep the top part spiked or in a mohawk.
It's popular among the nonmuslims (even women) which should be enough to make a muslim man avoid it, just to avoid being mistaken for a kaafir.

What if the haircut isn't as noticeable as those in the pictures. Before I heard certain haircuts are Haram, I had my sides like half an inch shorter than the top. Would that be considered Haram? Now, Its all the same length, but I don't care for it too much this way, and I don't feel like growing it to my shoulders again.
