Re: solution to "I'm sad and I don't pray"

May Allah make us among those who are steadfast in salah no matter where we are.

Salah is the first thing for which a person will be held accountable. Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said, "The first thing for which the slave will be held accountable for on the Day of Resurrection is his prayer; if it is ruined by neglecting it, then the rest of his deeds will be ruined. --At-Tabaraani

“Truly, those who believe and do righteous deeds, and perform Salaah, and give Zakaah, they will have their reward with their Lord. On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.” (Surah Baqarah 2:277)

          Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said,

"Whoever guards it (his prayers), it will be a light, a proof and a (means of) salvation for him on the Day of Judgement.” [Reported by Ahmad, Ibn Hibbaan and At-Tabaraanee]
