It's called a miswak. The Prophet s.a.a.w. used to use it to clean the teeth with. So it is a Sunnah for us to do so also.

neither. i've found it difficult to use miswaak, keep feeling like i have a mouthful of splinters it's really awkward when i've tried it.

we have to take care of our body . This is a gift from Allah ( swt ) to us , we did not create this ourselves.
