    Hello everyone,
I joined the forum today. I am on the path to discovering Islam and I am thinking about taking the shahadah soon.
However, I have not spoken to my parents about this. They are athiest and very open minded but from a community with almost no muslisms.
As I am not in the same country as them, I plan to talk to them about my decision when I return in summer.
I think it would be useful for them to see some unbiased documentaries about the religion to understand my choices.

If you have any suggestions about what I can show them, or how I may break the subject to them, any advice would be much appreciated.
    Thank you

Not a documentary, maybe you can print this out and show them.

    Who Wrote the Qur'an? -
    Author: Muhammad Mustafa al-Azami | Pages: 25 | Size: 1 MB

This is a summary around the compilation of the Quran. Another book which is excellent and is highly recommended on this topic is 'The History of the Qur'anic Text from Revelation to Compilation : A Comparative Study with the Old and New Testaments' by Muhammad Mustafa al-Azami.
