True that. The worst part is: working isn't even haram. If a person was committing a sin and the fact that they were sinning was insulted, that would seem justified.

However, why are you (in general) insulting a person who's not sinning? Allah isn't angry with them, so why are you?

And I remember one member wrote "We don't need any women workers in society" But then, do you want a male gynecologist examining your wife? Do you want a male doctor helping your wife give birth? Do you want only male teachers teaching your daughter 8 hours a day for 5 days a week?

    Jeez.

    Women working (just some clarifications)

With all due respect, some people have mistaken beliefs about women working. I have no intention of starting a 6 page thread (though that may happen LOL). However, I just want to say some things.

1)It's NOT HARAM for an unmarried women (with consent from her father/mother) and a married women (with the consent of her husband) to work

2)A woman is NOT a feminazi or career-type women if she works, whether out of necessity or because she wants extra money. It's not a nice world out there; women will have to work.

3)A woman has to observe Islamic values while working, and this also applies to men (which some people reason that because he's the caretaker, he's let a little more leeway in this regard)

4)It is NOT MAKROOH for a women to work. She is not a bad person if she chooses to work.

    5) It is best for women to stay in their homes, but if she doesn't, she doesn't deserve being called a feminist.

    6) As long as no Islamic duties (including duty to husband and family) are abandoned, then she is committing no sin by working

    7) We need women working in society (the ones who willingly can do it and obey Islamic values) such as female doctors (gynecologists), female teachers for girls (especially teens), and whatnot

Can we please keep this in mind whenever talking about women who work please? Because it seems that (sometimes) working women are slandered by being called feminist and whatnot.
