  • Wearing red or trainers for sports relief

    Salam,

I heard about this charity event yesterday and it got me thinking. Their idea is to sell stuff to raise funds, most charities do that, but this one wants you to wear red or trainers. Would a muslim commit a sin if he/she wore red or trainers?
I dont think this charity has a religious connotation, also it is different from that poppy day thing, which I strongly believe is haram as we dont celebrate the dead. So back to my quesion, is it haram for a muslim to wear red or trainers for sports relief day?

    JazakAllH kheyr,

Ps whatever your answer plz support it with reference

There actually is a hadith regarding that
      http://islamqa.info/en/8341

      That applies to men.
But thats beside the point, im not asking if wearing red is haram. Im asking if wearing it for the purpose of taking part in sports relief is... It couldve been any other color...
