The Japanese make very crappy movies, however they make awesome anime and great horror movies. The ideas are very far out there both in anime and horror movies. Some are outright sick and twisted... and some ideas are innovative and creative which is lacking in holywood hence the popularity of anime. Holywood these days has way too many horror movies as well and they are also sick and twisted. Sometimes I wonder what kind of people are really behind the ideas. Sometimes it also makes you wonder how jahanam will be horrifying in comparison to any of these ideas.

Even Star Wars was influenced by a few Japanese Animes. Most people don't know that. A lot of science fiction be it space based or otherwise was also Japanese anime influenced. They are fairly creative and innovative people.
    didnt know that....

Yeah I forget the exact show but there was one show that was about a moon space station, there were lightsabers before starwars lol. In 1979 gundam had lightsabers. So there is some cross-over back and forth starwars influencing anime and a few anime and manga that influenced star wars.

While on one of my nerd adventures I came across a few 'historical' articles on the making of starwars and the first ideas and drafts and all the people who were involved and where they drew inspiration from. Can't remember now, too nerdy to memorize in it's entirety lol.. Short-term memory meh.

The matrix was SEVERELY influenced by anime.

When I studied animation, the one thing the professors hated was anime lol... but they were lenient to a point. Had to study classical art and they frowned very much so on anime style as it's very different and not well... anatomical lol.

If starwars was an anime like this, it would have been so bad ass:

And if it was an anime in the 80s lol (cheesy):

Sigh.. memories, when I used to do some of my first 3d animations back in early-mid high school, I was trying to do fan based star wars stuff lol. I was quite the nerd aah.

There are some pretty bad ass fan based star wars movies and animations.

That depends on what from their society you are analyzing and if it's their pop-culture, sub-cultures or traditional culture.

But needless to say, a society driven by materialism and work solely without religious guidance is bound to have immorality. Where desires define what's okay and what's not.

They have a lot of fetishes, but so do people all over the world. The difference is they literally commercialize it and publicize it.

If you can get it, you can buy it. Services like pretending to be nursed. Pretending to be parented. Pretending to be a child. Etc... some of the weirder things and... that includes no sex at all just the role play of it. Go figure.

But the premise of role playing is not exclusive to Japan, just they have weird things.

Then there's the weirder stuff like anime porn o_o; Fake boyfriends/girflriends. Virtual boyfriends/girlfriends. Hug pillows (pillows that hug you when you're lonely) haha... ya

Everytime i look at works of short animations i just... wow it is truly beautiful... but i can never get my head around how it is produced.

I used to be quite proficient in 3D Studio MAX. However for 2D animations used to use flash and this one other program.. which is pretty standard for 2d animations in the industry but I forget it's name literally... its been almost 10 years since I last did anything. Toonimation or something like that?

Edit: TOON BOOM! yeah! Just remembered... However I was more interested in making games, therefore I focused on 3D stuff. It's too bad, I lost all my old stuff. I might still have some files somewhere.

                            Flash?

so you literally produced each frame by hand if you want for instance a sketch of a milk bottle to spill. That must take ages.

Yupper, literally. That's how classical animation works. There are tweens (i think it was called) with which you can 'cheat' a bit, but ultimately you still have to draw everything out.

For a single basic assignment imagine getting home work drawing 500 unique stick figures in different motions.

The need to be proefficient in drawing, understanding human anatomy, physics, simulation, acting, etc... all necessary skills and knowledge to make animation happen. It sucks as a job lol, plus the grey area islamically like I told you in the other thread.

3D animation, even more complex, adding scripting, although then you go into 'keying' your rigged model rather than drawing individual frames.

i guess there are "cheats"... like reusing a stick position, especially if it is walking, it is just a repeat.

yh there are tweens and onion skining.

I never actually produced an animation because i thought using flash is not worth it. But if that is how some create good 2d animations then i will try it... inshallah.
