  • any medical student here why could answer my question?

    Assalamu alaikum,
my question is if someone suffers from Hyperparathyroidism, can it cause Osteoporosis or arthritis?
OR can you have Hyperparathyroidism but at the same time separately be suffering from Osteoporosis or arthritis?

Go online and ask a doctor about this.

      Wa alaikum salam.
Well, from what I learned in class, if you suffer from Hyperparathyroidism than you're producing too much PTH hormone & since PTH is responsible in dissolving the bone to increase the level of blood calcium (removes calcium from bone, to have more calcium in blood), it is probable that someone who has Hyperparathyroidism will consequently have osteoporosis. This doesn't happen to everyone, thus the person needs to go see an MD.

      Then He will suffice him.
