  • Be moderate and continous in doing good deeds

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

Reported by ‘Aisha (RA): Allah’s Apostle (peace be upon him) said, “Do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately and know that your deeds will not make you enter Paradise, and that the most beloved deed to Allah’s is the most regular and constant even though it were little.”
    (Bukhari)

    Start little by little

    - If we can't give sadaqa everyday, start from once a month, then twice a month, then once a week
    - If we still can't wake up for tahajjud then perform other nafl salat such as salatul Duha, or nafl salat before and after salatul fard.
    - If we can't read Quran everyday then try to read it once once a week, then improve it to once in two/three days
    - If we can't fast Monday and Thursday, then at least fast three days in a month on 13,14,15 (lunar calendar)
    - If we cannot do all the sunnahs then at least do all the wajib first!

"Allah intends for you ease, and does not want to make things difficult for you" [2:185]; and "Allah does not want to place you in difficulty" [5:6].

Jazakallah khair for the reminder brother.

Much depth in the hadith. What a beautiful way of life an Islamic way of life is.

May Allah give us all the ability to submit to the will and command of Allah, and follow the exemplary example of the Rasul of Allah Sallallahu alaihi wasallam.

(Fasting is Monday and Thursday, btw)

And when it is said unto them: believe as the people believe, they say: Shall we believe as the foolish believe? Beware! They indeed are the foolish? But they know not.
          Al Baqarah : Verse 13
