I love the Imaamah, never owned one personally but waiting for the day that I do, I admire the manner in which the brothers from the Hadhramawt valley wear it:

The turban is not considered to be a recommended sunnah because the Prophet. ( sallaAllahu alaiyhi wasalaam) only wore it due to weather and such, so in that way the scholars say it is permissible, but makruh if you live in a region where it is strange to the people and causes you to stand out.

Which now really surprises me how close it was to the sunnah.

Now I'm thinking about doing it on eid.

Is this the sunnah turban? Sunnah TURBAN

    Turban is sunnah?

Is it a normal 'hat'/kufi/'tufi'. And then you wrap a white scarf around it like this:

    http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_k_ICSkAB1hk/TNj3V4kW22I/AAAAAAAAGy8/xU6Qgt-t72g/s1600/obama-muslim-college-picture.jpg

    or this

    http://img.youtube.com/vi/IKt-xuJRfM8/0.jpg

so you basically get a normal kufi :http://www.meccabooks.com/1464-thickbox/sandal-turban-hat-shukr.jpg

and wrap the scarf thing around it?

Good to see you brother Rashid, hope you, your family and esp the little 'un are all well.

Im not sure whats so intruiging about this thread, but the assumptions that posters are making are hilarious.

Someone thinks im getting married , Med thinks Im a tablighi, Msmoorad thinks im introducing sunnahs within sunnahs.

I think its the 8mtr, and the other really long ones as well. If I can be bothered i might take a picture of the finished iron version.....

Yeah youtube video would be good.......

Oh, in the Hanafi madhab, isnt it the obligation of the wife to prepare hubby sahebs food.....?? **must marry a non hanafi**
8 meters?? That's very long. Hmmm maybe you'd try ironing it on a big table? Like a dining table or something... Cos 8 meters is pretty long :D

Little one is pretty good Alhamdulillah. Thanks for asking :)
