Suicide is a serious crime, only Allah has the right to take your life.
As Allah says in the Quran, No person shall have a burden laid on him greater than he can bear.
So if the person is sufferring, know its just a test.
Allah also says "Do not despair in the mercy of Allah"
And Allah can forgive all sins except for the sin of shirk. If a person dies upon shirk, that person will never be forgiven"If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor."

There is a difference of opinion whether or not the person will be forgiven in the end.
