Straight from the Qur'aan:

And if two factions among the believers should fight, then make settlement between the two. But if one of them oppresses the other, then fight against the one that oppresses until it returns to the ordinance of Allah . And if it returns, then make settlement between them in justice and act justly. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.

So let's just analyze this really fast.

And if two factions among the believers should fight, then make settlement between the two.

Believers fighting, and it doesn't just happen with words guys, there is blood involved and we've seen this amongst the Sahabah no less, in the great fitnah.

But if one of them oppresses the other, then fight against the one that oppresses until it returns to the ordinance of Allah .

Believers oppressing each other and more fighting.

And if it returns, then make settlement between them in justice and act justly. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.

Mediators and judges to restore people's rights come into it.

...

So after fighting, chaos, people killed, factions oppressing each other, judgments and mediations... the conclusion? Look at the very next verse:

The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy.

So just remember that Islamic kinship remains even after these huge ordeals and conflicts, so what then of the going ons in this forum? Sure harsh comments and all sorts of things are said, but Islamic kinship should still prevail in the end, so make peace. And there's no better time for that than eid ;)

Jazakumullahu khair.
