  • UK drug laws

Codeine is allowed here in the UK but illegal in Dubai. What one country considers permissible another does not.

Re: Serious Question: Are Drugs Haram?

you are NOT allowed to use ANY drugs period it is haraam and if you do, it means you disbelieve in the Quran. If you disbelieve even one Ayah you are then kufar. Dont even take a tylenol. If you are in pain for ANY reason it is because Allah is angry with you and you are being punnished. Or Allah could be testing you.

So you are saying Allah swt is punishing everyone, including babies and children and Allah swt is angry with them. It makes no sense at all. Not all drugs have an intoxication effect. Your reasoning above is not sound.

So your question pertains to all drugs including anti-psychotic drugs and anesthetics?

Not illegal, but special prescription only unlike the UK. So you can't bring it in without one either.

But smaller amounts such as that in Nurofen plus can be found without prescription. UAE has a zero tolerance policy with even traces worth of codeine.

Nurofen plus contains more than just trace elements of codeine. If it's not allowed what is it subsituted with.

"O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you swerve, and if you distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily Allah is well-acquainted with all that you do." [An-Nisa 4:135]

                  The Prophet :saw: said:

"Whosoever leaves off obedience and separates from the Jamaa'ah and dies, he dies a death of jaahiliyyah. Whoever fights under the banner of the blind, becoming angry for 'asabiyyah (nationalism/tribalism/partisanship) or calling to 'asabiyyah, or assisting 'asabiyyah, then dies, he dies a death of jaahiliyyah."

                  Narrated 'Abdullah:

The Prophet, said, "Abusing a Muslim is Fusuq (evil doing) and killing him is Kufr (disbelief)." sahih bukhari

"Creeping upon you is the diseases of those people before you: envy and hatred. And hatred is the thing that shaves. I do not say it shaves the hair but it shaves the religion!

By the One in whose Hand is my soul, you will not enter paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love one another. Certainly, let me inform you of that which may establish such things: spread the greetings and peace among yourselves."

This post justifies nothing you said in the other post.

Please bring forth proof that's not in the form of 'I know someone who did it'.

Most of useful contents in herbal medicine is nowadays marketed as medicine. The rest of it, as comedian once said is nice bowl of soup and some potpourri.
