I wish to give my employees a gift for working hard. What should I get them?

    Re: giving gifts at work

    time off!
    What does 'freedom' mean?

Does the eagle want to swim in the sea,
    Restricted by the sky?

Does the fish want to dance on the wind,
    Not enough river to explore?

Yet the sky is freedom for the bird
    but death for the fish,

The sea is wide for the fish
    but will engulf the bird.

We ask for freedom but freedom to do what?
We can only express our nature as it was created.

The prayer mat of the earth is freedom,
freedom from slavery to other than the One,
Who offers an shoreless ocean of love to swim in
and a horizon that extends to the next life,
Yet we chose the prison and call it freedom.

      Peace,

The greatest gift a Muslim could ask for in this world is more time for him to be alone with Allah.

Uhhh depending on the organization that may not be allowed

Boxes of chocolates usually work best for most people. Most people love lindor. :D or gift cards to coffee shops if they like coffee. I've received both these types of gifts and it was very favorable :D
With work gifts it's not about how big or expensive it is. Usually a small box is enough because it's mainly the thought that counts.

"O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you swerve, and if you distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily Allah is well-acquainted with all that you do." [An-Nisa 4:135]

                  The Prophet :saw: said:

"Whosoever leaves off obedience and separates from the Jamaa'ah and dies, he dies a death of jaahiliyyah. Whoever fights under the banner of the blind, becoming angry for 'asabiyyah (nationalism/tribalism/partisanship) or calling to 'asabiyyah, or assisting 'asabiyyah, then dies, he dies a death of jaahiliyyah."

"Creeping upon you is the diseases of those people before you: envy and hatred. And hatred is the thing that shaves. I do not say it shaves the hair but it shaves the religion!

Oh I agree with this. I've gotten small plants as gifts at work too and it's a fab present. I love mine. My colleague gave me one before she retired last year and I still have it. my plant is growing mashallah :p actually the first one she got me had died I tried my best but it didn't survive. This one is better.

He said 'my employees' so am presuming that he's the boss.

Even if he isn't, you can give them stuff outside the workplace... I don't think there can be a better gift to a kaafir than an English translation of the Qur'an. It beats everything
