Hallowe'en has two major origins: Pagan and Christian. The Christian one is where the name comes from; originally it was called All Hallow's Eve, or the evening before All Saints Day (today). This was traditionally a day of prayer for Catholics.

The Pagan one is the more interesting one. The ancient Pagans believed that evil spirits would try to steal your soul on one particular night. Without doing some research I can't say for certain if this night is the night or not. In any event, they would dress up in gruesome costumes to trick the evil spirits into thinking they were one of them, so they wouldn't capture them. Alternatively, they would leave treats on outside of their homes in an attempt to pacify the evil spirits so they would leave them alone.

Therefore, the two major aspects of this "holiday" are both evil and pagan in nature, and thereby forbidden for Muslims. In addition, it's connection (however tenuous) to Christianity adds another layer of prohibition.

Incidentally, Christians are also not supposed to celebrate this "holiday" but, like many other aspects of the religion, they choose to ignore this...

OP, please change your username if possible. The '786' that you have in your name is nothing but a sickening innovation. It's come from Paganism, Hinduism, and astrology (all haraam).

Halloween was a celtic tradition, they celbrated it and called it the Festival of the Dead. So even if you are celebrating it with no intention of believing that dead can rise up its still haram as you are supporting pagan culture. The best thing to do if you are in a country that celebrates this is to turn off your porch light, because even giving candy to the kids is haram. Even some christians dont celebrate it, and whats even funnier is that they are considering to change the name of Halloween to Jesusween, where they give out bibles lol.

                  Wa Aalaikum Assalam

The pagan thing is not really the reason.

The reason is because muslims celebrate only two Eids, which are eid ul adha and eid ul fitr. We do not have any other eids.
