Is marijuana haram? Is it as bad as alcohol or sex outside of marriage?

i'm pretty sure its haram because its a drug & addictive & not so good for you etc etc
I've learned about all the reasons why smoking normal cigarettes is haram so i guess its pretty similar :scratch:

Here's one ruling I found (below), which would have similar classification to marijuana & Allah knows best. As far as this being, "as bad as alcohol or sex outside of marriage," Allah is the judge. All I could tell you, to the best of my knowledge, is to stay away from those things that are haram, even if it's a "small haram" because "multiples of small haram doings" lead to "bigger harams." Get the picture? ;)

If you are ill and take for medical reason i think its not haram because your body its already ill. You try only to diminish the pain.
Otherwise its haram because you cannot take care of your family.Comment

Marijuana in and of itself might not be unhealthy. However, the marijuana that those who sell themselves out to the drug warlords sell is *not*. It is mixed with Allah only knows what. If someone needs medicinal marijuana, he should learn how to do it properly from the proper sources.
