Not enough parking spaces at my masjid

Salaams.

Today at Jummah, there were not enough parking spaces for everyone. My masjid is currently building a rec center next to the masjid instead of a new parking lot, so at Jummah today, our parking lot was so crowded I saw Muslims in cars behind me backing up, turning around and leaving. There were not enough spaces for everyone. A construction worker working on the new rec center had to offer me a spot on the new grass by the rec center to get the last spot.


My masjid doesn't have priorities in order :(

You could try parking a couple of blocks down and walking.

I hope they went to another masjid, not home.

Does the manager of the masjid knows about this?

They should put some sheets on the parking lot and make space for prayers there. People can park their car somewhere close and walk :insha:

can you walk to the masjid? What about public transport? When I used to live in Exeter there was always limited parking at the masjid so the imam said that unless you were disabled or totally couldn't get to the masjid at all without the car, that everyone should walk or get the bus.

In Bay Area, Fremont (cali) a church used to let us park in their lot. It was just a block from the masjid.

So the Church authorities knew you were all Muslims parking for Jumuah salah ?

There's a church right next to the mosque I go to for Jumu'ah and they also open their entire parking lot for us and we open ours for them which they seldom request. I personally park a bit of distance to avoid being stuck in the parking lot and plus the walk is good.

Morissons suermarket allow us to use all of their car park at night for Taraweeh.

my masjid doesnt even have a parking lot :@ .....

We jz park our rides on the road and create a roadblock :D
