    The only mixed schools I remember in Saudiarabia were the British and American Schools run by their embassies .

    rest of the Schools had to follow the guidelines of the Saudi public school system of not mixing .

    These days they do have several private schools , I am not sure if any of them have free mixing .

    When they have made free mixing the norm at KAUST in Thuwal which happens to be less than 2 hours drive from Makkah then why be surprised in high schools .

    this is a secularist newspaper, they are fasiqoon at best, murtadeen at worst if they dont believe in the Shariah
