  • Call Center Job Interview

    Assalaamu alaykum

All praise is due to Allah(swt) i have a interview on thursday.
    role includes :
    -Outbound calls to mobile customers
-Selling mobile contracts over the telephone
    -Dealing with and overcoming objections
    -Close sales over the telephone

So i have never had a interview before or worked in a call center before.

So how can i prepare for the interview ?

Also am getting butterflies just thinking about it, since am a very shy person, am usually very nervous in interviews.

Please everyone do dua for me

Worked in a couple call centers myself. You need to practice in some mock interviews with your friends.
Have answers lined up for common questions.
Try and elaborate your answers and use a professional tone.
Speak confidently and not too fast.

"why do you want to work here?" Ofcourse this aint a dream job so don't even go there. Know how to answer this.

Make dua and pray 2 rakaat salat and go for it. Every interview is a learning experience. I botched about 4 interviews before getting good at them.

        wa iyyakum.
they'll be assessing I guess potential and work ethic.

Is he fluent, clear and confident in speech?
Does he have good work ethic?
How well can he handle pressure and high paced environment?
Can I rely on him to show up on time?

So in your answers to whatever his questions try and insert a bit somin here and there that'll give you points in his mind for these questions.

Ps: I once called and asked "may I speak to mr. smith?" and the lady responded "Honey, mr. smith has been dead for over 15 years". oooooohhh....sanaaaap....happened to me twice btw.
tip: If a lady picks up, ask for mrs. smith. if a guy picks up, then mr. to avert such embarrassing situations.

They usually ask you about your personality, team working skills, etc Trust me, its a doddle.
You are not aware of the consequences that would result (if you were granted what you desire) because what you seek might be to your detriment. (O soul) be conscious that your Master is more aware about your well-being than you are.

            Common questions :

1.Tell me a little about yourself.
            2. Why do you want to work for us.
            3. What are your strengths and weaknesses.
            4. How did you solve xyz problem?

Also have questions ready for them.

            1. Is there any training provided.
            2. When would I be notified if I were sccussful or not.

That's if they haven't already said so.

Make du'a and go and I also have an interview Thursday inshaAllah but it's an unpaid placement.

call centre jobs are minor ...any half decent person can get it inshallah.

just keep reminding yourself of that. Its minor
