Biltong and Boerwors

Aww.
Just wanted to post to say that CRUGA branded Biltong and Boerwors is made of meat supplied by MutchMeats of Whitney Oxfordshire. I talked to a Mr. Ian Mutch at MutchMeats who confirmed to me that they PRE-STUN the animals before slaughter, and also that HMC would not certify them as they also slaughter pigs. They do apparently have a Muslim doing the Halal slaughter - but as mentioned the animals are pre-stunned.

one of the underestimated advantages of living in SA is that halaal biltong, boerewors,sausages,patties,polonies etc are easily available.
i would not be wrong to say that we are spoilt for choice.

mr burger do halal biltong in leicester, as well as so many different types of salami, polonies and sandwich meats, they are hmc.
