i'm so confused at this moment. please take a few minutes and give an honest answer. this is for people who follow islam to max of their ability.

if you could stand outside of yourself for a moment and look at your life, what effect would you say islam had on your life?

    did it increase your problems

    did it reduce your problems

    did it make you happier

    did it make you tired

    did it change your personality

    did it change your character

    did it change your relationships

what effect did islam have on you?

this question is for those who really implement islam in their life

this would help me alot :jkk:

I'd say it's had a very positive, peaceful, and worthwhile effect on my life.

    did it increase your problems
Only temporarily in the beginning - worrying about making prayers, conflicting with work, schedules, learning enough arabic to perform prayers, etc. All of these were minor problems that took were steadily taken care of and overcome.

    did it reduce your problems
There will always be everyday problems to deal with. Islam guided me away from over-reacting to problems. Everyone, everywhere, will always have problems of one sort of another.

    did it make you happier
On the inside, absolutely. On the outside i'm a grump. LOL

    did it make you tired
    I'm always tired.

    did it change your personality
Eh... i'd say yes. For the most part.

    did it change your character
    Yes, definitely.

    did it change your relationships
Eh... hmm... ya. I'd say ya. By the time I embraced Islam there was only a couple "friends" I had left - and we had been friends for so long our relationships were so solidified and secure that my faith was hardly an issue worth discussing, debating, etc.

what effect did islam have on you?

    Answered above.

Yes, because it changed the way I think

what effect did islam have on you?
I was born Muslim, but came onto the correct way of life just over 2 years ago, it changed my whole life, especially the way I think, which affects the rest of the body. Also, I think I speak alot less, and most importantly, I feel content and happy, but still feel the need to improve myself daily

                Nope.

                did it reduce your problems
                In a sense.

                did it make you happier
                Definetely.

                did it make you tired
                Sometimes.

                did it change your personality
                Yes.

                did it change your character
                Yes.

                did it change your relationships
                Yes!

what effect did islam have on you?
Helped me understand/try best to fulfill others' rights.
Turn to Allah sbw when in need or at the time of difficulty instead of crying infront of others :)

                  :salams

                  Hmmm...All good questions.

what effect would you say islam had on your life?
Big affect. It guides my life in the smallest of the matters. I try my best to follow his :saw: example.

                  did it increase your problems
Nope...it gives me relief just to think that everything is decided. If problems come, I couldn't have avoided them. If problems come, it gives me more oppotunities to remember Allah.

                  did it reduce your problems
Yes. There are some problems that can't be avoided and Islam has nothing to do with that. It's decreed. As for other problems, I don't think there are any.

                  did it make you happier
Yes, a pleasure to bow down in front of Him
It makes me happy because my reward is with Allah in the Hereafter. I feel good I'm not like those people around me in colleges, out in the street, etc.

                  did it make you tired
                  No. School makes me tired.

                  did it change your character
Yeah, I try and think what would he :saw: would do in a situation. Even though, I'm not sure many times, reading about him :saw: has helped alot.

                  did it change your relationships
                  No, not much.

what effect did islam have on you?
                  Makes me feel ---> :D

I think this is the key point and we can learn far more by reflecting upon this than answering individual questions.

Any negative effects that I have experienced since embracing Islam only have a cause/effect relationship with Islam in a sense that the negativity is a result of failing to fulfil my duties as a Muslim. Whenever I have strived to implement Islam as fully as reasonably possible, the positive effects are numerous.

Also, how “negative experiences” affect us is largely down to how we perceive them. If we are focused upon the dunya, any hardship is considered a trial, something negative. Yet, if we focus upon the akhira, it is easy to find numerous blessings and positive sides to our experiences that we otherwise simply fail to see.
