  • Health - Mobile phone under pillow?

    Assalam Aalikom ramatullahi Wabarakathu,

My quality of sleep has recently been deteriorating and waking up with head aches or general tiredness.

So I now wonder if its the mobile phone under my pillow (to help me wake up!) is helping to contribute to these adverse affects.

This topic seems to be debated from the little googling i did do, so does anyone have any knowledge in regards to this? I'm gona experiment over the coming days.

I WANT THAT FRESH FEELING!! :hidban:

    w/sallam

Akhi, do you sleep in the state of wudhu, facing in the direction of Qiblah, and adhere to the other sunnahs of sleeping....If you do not then Insha'allah consider it. It makes all the difference!

Dont sleep with the mobile under your pillow, I actually keep mine somewhere on my bed...somewhere on the floor wherever so I can wake up and turn the alarm off.

Why do you keep it under your pillow? Cant you put it elsewhere
You are not aware of the consequences that would result (if you were granted what you desire) because what you seek might be to your detriment. (O soul) be conscious that your Master is more aware about your well-being than you are.

Put your phone in the corner of the room so you make sure get up and reach it.
Doing wudhu and sleeping makes a lot of difference. Plus reading Ayatul Kursi and remembering Allah before we sleep.

unfortunately its rare, after letting one rip in bed (im single!) its hard to persuade one self to get up and get wudu again.. ..

          I will try harder though!
facing in the direction of Qiblah, [/quote.
Facing the qiblah .. my feet point away from it, head towards it.. so I guess i'm not literally facing it...

Don't drink water about 30 mins before going to bed
Try not to sleep on a full stomach, eat less at meal times if you can't help but eating your main dinner less than a couple of hours before bed.
            Don't sleep too late.
Do wudu, dont worry if you break it shortly after getting into bed.
Pray the four quls and Ayat ul qursee before going to bed.
Make a firm intention to wake up for salaah/ when you have to and ask Allah to assist you in this and protect you from shaytaan
Try to sleep on your right hand side in the sunnah manner...I have personally found my sleep lighter and more refreshing in the sunnah manner than any other way.

Hope it works out, let us know how it goes.
            Wasalam
