what? i thought every pir saab had a lock of hair or his beard hair or this cup or that bowl etc from Rasoolullah (saws) so the people can come to them and errh ahum... give them a little reward for looking after these 'relics.'

Would it be offensive to make DNA tests? Because if they're not authentic it is wrong to lead people on

are there any confirmed living relatives to compare DNA to?

There are two kinds of pride, both good and bad. 'Good pride' represents our dignity and self-respect. 'Bad pride' is the deadly sin of superiority that reeks of conceit and arrogance.

its a good point... there are more people claiming to be descendents of Muhammad (saws) in places like india and pakistan than there are in saudi arabia.

why should it be? if it has been entrusted to someone who lives in japan/ africa/ america/ russia then it has been entrusted to them to guard and look after. Nothing to do with what country it is in.
              What does 'freedom' mean?

Does the eagle want to swim in the sea,
              Restricted by the sky?

Does the fish want to dance on the wind,
              Not enough river to explore?

Yet the sky is freedom for the bird
              but death for the fish,

The sea is wide for the fish
              but will engulf the bird.

We ask for freedom but freedom to do what?
We can only express our nature as it was created.

The prayer mat of the earth is freedom,
freedom from slavery to other than the One,
Who offers an shoreless ocean of love to swim in
and a horizon that extends to the next life,
Yet we chose the prison and call it freedom.

i actually asked a few Somali scholars and they told me , a hair of the prophet pbuh is availble if so why is it in the hands of a person and not a place where people can come in masses to touch it. it makes no sense that one person has it

ive heard of someone who has a hair of the Prophet :saw: and that it still grows. every few years, when it gets long, they cut it and spread it out amongst more people..... is that possible?
