    Halal toothpastes

    Salaam,

Does anyone know which toothpastes are halal? Meaning, the ones that don't contain piggy stuff?
My friends uncle used to work in quality control or something and he said there's only one that is halal...i think its sensodyne but can't remember?

For now i use asda toothpaste...just because it says "suitable for vegetarians" on the packaging! If anyone knows please share. By using any products containing pig stuff, our duas will not be accepted, thats what i heard.

    WaSalaam :)

    We use this: http://www.greenpeople.co.uk/fennel-...aste-50ml.aspx
    What does 'freedom' mean?

Does the eagle want to swim in the sea,
    Restricted by the sky?

Does the fish want to dance on the wind,
    Not enough river to explore?

Yet the sky is freedom for the bird
    but death for the fish,

The sea is wide for the fish
    but will engulf the bird.

We ask for freedom but freedom to do what?
We can only express our nature as it was created.

The prayer mat of the earth is freedom,
freedom from slavery to other than the One,
Who offers an shoreless ocean of love to swim in
and a horizon that extends to the next life,
Yet we chose the prison and call it freedom.

        yes some dose.

goto googlew and type in halal palmolive and colgate. you will get a list of hall soaps for body clothes and dishes, and halal toothpaste. i use colgate total. any flavour is halal.
And the (faithful) slaves of the Most Gracious (Allâh) are those who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness, and when the foolish address them (with bad words) they reply back with mild words of gentleness. (25:63)

O You who believe! Shall I guide you to a trade that will save you from a painful torment? (10) That you believe in Allâh and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW),and that you strive hard and fight in the Cause of Allâh with your wealth and your lives, that will be better for you, if you but know! (11) (If you do so) He will forgive you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow, and pleasant dwellings in Adn (Edn) Paradise; that is indeed the great success. (12)

JazakAllah khair for the duas but i would prefer duas for shahadah instead.

Yes some toothpastes do contain some part or other of the pig:

I use Sensodyne, the really expensive one with the mint coloured cap. It costs waay too much and I feel guilty buying it, but it really does do a good job.

A quick search on google says sensodyne toothpastes do not contain animal products: link. I do not know if this is true of their whole toothpaste range or this particular one though.
