  • Halala / Mut'ah?

    :salams:

My understanding is that what us sunni muslims/muslimahs call halala is what the shias call mut'ah, and as such its haram and a most despicable act, as people enter a temporary marriage with the intention to divorce so that the woman can remarry her first husband.

This is accurate isnt it? That halala is haram? As i'm very anti-halala.

Halala is different than Mut'ah, and they are both haram.

Halala is marrying a woman who is divorced 3 times then divorcing her so that she can remarry her first husband again.

Mut'ah is marriage for a limited predetermined period of time (say a week or a month).
