    Cordoba Gold cashplus prepaid MasterCardŽ

    Introducing Cordoba Gold: The Sharia compliant MasterCard prepaid card that lets you stay in control of your finances

    The new Cordoba Gold works like a pay-as-you-go mobile phone - you can only ever spend what you have topped up onto your card, so there is no risk of overspending or getting yourself into debt, and you don't get monthly bills.
    There is no credit with Cordoba Gold , so there is no credit check!
    As long as you are a UK resident and you are aged 18 years or over, you will be accepted for a Cordoba Gold card. So even if you have never used a credit card or you don't have a bank account, you can have your own personalised Cordoba Gold card.

    i seen this on some website and thought what a good idea.........

    but you should read the terms & conditions clause 13.9 where it says;

    The Financial Services Compensation Scheme is not applicable for this Card. No other compensation schemes exist to cover losses claimed in connection with this Card. This means that in the unlikely event that AFL becomes insolvent your funds may become valueless and unusable and as a result you may lose your money. For this reason the funds on your account are held in trust by Royal Bank of Scotland, 5-10 Great Tower Street, London, EC3P 3HX.

    i didnt go through with it.

      .... sounds good for very occasional use then like transferring money to relatives abroad but not for getting your whole wage payed in to the account
