There are many things that break one's wudhu- these are known in Arabic as nawaqid Al-wudhu... :insha: you will find this link is quite useful:

Does anyone know if the obligatory Elements have to be repeated x3 as with sunnan and does 'washing the face' in the obligatory part include rinsing mouth and nostrils'?

The obligation is lifted on the first wash. Doing it 2 more times (which equal 3 ) is Sunnah.

No, you wash the mouth and the nostrils before. Washing the face is obligatory, washing out the mouth and nose is Sunnah.

And also i think you need to go to an alim and find out what are the boundaries of the face. Becuase if even a little bit of it is left out then the act of washing the face isnt complete.

        And Allah (SWT) knows best.

"O you who believe! Stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest you swerve, and if you distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily Allah is well-acquainted with all that you do." [An-Nisa 4:135]

          The Prophet :saw: said:

"Whosoever leaves off obedience and separates from the Jamaa'ah and dies, he dies a death of jaahiliyyah. Whoever fights under the banner of the blind, becoming angry for 'asabiyyah (nationalism/tribalism/partisanship) or calling to 'asabiyyah, or assisting 'asabiyyah, then dies, he dies a death of jaahiliyyah."

          Narrated 'Abdullah:

The Prophet, said, "Abusing a Muslim is Fusuq (evil doing) and killing him is Kufr (disbelief)." sahih bukhari

"Creeping upon you is the diseases of those people before you: envy and hatred. And hatred is the thing that shaves. I do not say it shaves the hair but it shaves the religion!

By the One in whose Hand is my soul, you will not enter paradise until you believe, and you will not believe until you love one another. Certainly, let me inform you of that which may establish such things: spread the greetings and peace among yourselves."

            Re: What breaks the wudhu?

Allah says in surah 4:43 "and do not approach ur prayers with a mind befogged...."
on approaching ur prayers, which means that even before preparing ur wudhu u must be of sound mind without evil thoughts, what still when ur in a state of wudhu ur mind should be cleared of all evil thoughts.
therefore its disagreed on saying that when seeing something which arouses u sexualy that it does not nullify ur wudhu, yes on a physical aspect of not touching or excreting, but on a mental spiritual side ur wudhu is unacceptable and will need to be reperformed. wudhu is not just cleanse or a wash there is much more to it, else why just washing those parts, or using dirt if no water!! so if u using dirt in cases of no water, what does that tell u of what effect wudhu should have on you.
