As people, when doing something good, want something in return. ALWAYS. Whether it's a prize, recognition, or just blessings we all expect something in return. So my question to you is, is it wrong to do good deeds only to get something from Allah in return? If there is no one who could give you what you wanted, and you only did good deeds to get something from Allah, (materealistic things and/or paradise and forgiveness) is that wrong? Are you a wrong person for thinking this way?
