Some people mean dinner when they say tea. So give it til into the evening
You are not aware of the consequences that would result (if you were granted what you desire) because what you seek might be to your detriment. (O soul) be conscious that your Master is more aware about your well-being than you are.

yea, tea means lots of things depending on the time.

In the afternoon - they could be having afternoon tea - tea with sandwiches/rolls.

Or they could mean High Tea, which is just the evening meal but very early on.

Or finally some people just refer to the main evening meal as tea...

"Let your boat of life be light, packed with only what you need -
a homely home and simple pleasures, one or two friends,
worth the name, someone to love and someone to love you,
a cat, a dog, and a pipe or two, enough to eat and enough to wear,
and a little more than enough to drink; for thirst is a dangerous thing."
