Salaamu Alaykum
Yep I imagine the very title fo the thread may be a turnoff for a discussion... (No offence to any emiratees or emirate residents/citizens). Its just I recently visited UAE, went to Dubai with friends and then to Abu Dhabi to see family.
Man it was different, so many more masaajid which you can just stop at and pray, on the street, in the shopping malls and even at the wild wadi theme park!
Whilst in Abu Dhabi I spoke to my uncle, and he was telling me that because I'm a British citizen I can be afforded loads of perks here and there if I worked in the UAE, such as discounted islamic mortgages and cars, discounted private schools, free healthcare, etc...
What gets me wondering is not only me thinking "wow... Should I try develop a career/life over there Insha'allah rather than here in London UK?"
Although a more important question I want to ask is... Why is it that just because someone has a certain passport that they may 'automatically' (as my uncle liked to put it) be afforded certain rights over those who didn't have the same nationality?
Tbh this is more of an advice thread as well as a discussion thread... I've only seen two of the emirates. I'd love to go live in Iraq but that won't be happening anytime soon. I just want a majority Muslim area, where, Insha'allah my future kids can be raised without having to see or deal with the things I had to over here in London... (Even though I'll admit leaving London would be incredibly hard to do)....
Any advice you guys can give on other emirates? Such as Sharjah or Fujairah? Or even other countries such as Qatar or Buhraine?
Thanks for your inputs
