  • Salaat: What's your excuse?

Dreams feel real while we're in them. It's only when we wake up do we realize something was actually strange.

Everyone thinks their a scholar because they know how to copy and paste, you get your ummah face on and the second you log out, you know your reality. Anyone can attain knowledge, how many can implement it?

Life is a storm, you shall bask in the sun one moment, be shadowed in the rocks the next, what makes you a man is what you do when that moment comes, you must look into that storm which shadows you wrong and proclaim... Do your worst, as I will do mine.

Wa alaykum as salaam wa rahmatullah,

I totally agree with A_Muminah, these really are beautiful, spiritually-uplifting pictures.

              Jazak'Allah for posting, akhi Wolfn!!

After seeing those pictures, there really is no excuse for missing salaat, no matter where you are at the Athan - playing football, in a school/college/university class or lecture, waiting to pick dear daughter from school, in the supermarket and finally, driving on the Motorway!! No excuses for missing salaat it is your duty to offer worship and thanks to Allah subhana wa ta'ala.

              Food for thought,
              -Hamzah.

awesome images. the mujhideen one esp.

no excuse to miss salah, even in battle, there are speacial ways/rules to pray in jihad too.

can take real heart from them. just started praying again at work again (i use the chapel sometimes).

Truly I feel worthless and weak looking at those photos. I wish I could be amongst them.

I love the pic of them praying on the plane. Awesome!

                              Asalaam Alaikium

What a great thread. May Allah swt reward ur efforts wolf ameen.

I cannot emphasise enuff how important it is to do your 5 daily salats, how much it helps u spiritually and in dealing with life's problems and burdens.

For those who have thoughts that it takes to much time out of their day, u are wrong.Like the sister said, u can pray wherverr u are and it is literally 5mins (pushing it 10mins) to do them , and so much reward for such little time u sent in the ibadah of Allah swt!, subhanallah even if u are bedridden u have to pray yet look at some of our brothers and sisters who are fit and healthy and STILL not praying, start b4 its to late, you dont know where u are going to be tomorrow.
The Prophet SAW said, "(There are2words which R dear 2 the most gracious (Allah SWT)&very easy4the tongue2say but very heavy in the balance. They are:Subhan Allahi Wa Bihamdihi - Subhan Allahil-Azim
