  • Refrain from pagan hollidays: Valentines

Salaam aleiykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh

In the 3rd century there was a priest called Valentinus, he arranged for young couples to get married against the wishes of the emperor, thus the emperor decapitated the priest on the 14th of February.

Will you honour this priest by celebrating love on this day?

Another person that is being honoured on this day is the greek god Cupid. Cupid is believed to be the god of desire, erotic love, the god of desire, attraction and affection. He is also believed to be the son of the love goddess Venus and the war god Mars.

Needless to say this is a shirk belief, and those who celebrate are part of it, so i advise the muslims to stay far away from this celebration.

      Important reminder.

Too many Muslims treat this as harmless as there is no obvious religious inclination behind it such as Christmas and Easter.

Some Muslims will steer clesr of it because of the downright cringey inappropriate nature of it. Very few Muslims I find will avoid Valentines for the reasons it should be avoided.
