    Salaam,

Nowadays there are many singers who claim their songs to be about Islam and supposedly aren't haraam to listen to. These songs in a way modernise Islam.

So my question is, is it permissible/halal to listen to songs sung by singers like Harris J, Maher Zain, Saif Adam, etc?

    Jazakallah.

If they contain musical instruments and immitate the Kuffar etc then obviously Haraam, like Maher Zain for example
