  • Discussing Hair around Non-Mahrams

    Asalamu Alaikum!

I always feel awkward talking about my hair to a sister when there are non-mahram men within earshot. I have only recently started wearing hijab. I was wondering what the consensus is on talking about or describing one's hair when in the company of non-mahram men. Obviously my motivations aren't to be enticing-- sometimes a recent haircut or hair care routine will just pop up in conversation. Is this something I should avoid, even though they can't see it?

    Jazak Allah Khair

Don't talk about your hair, skin or any part of your physical body around men. It's better you avoid it.
