how does something look ugly, when you cannot see it?

when a car is covered, you cant tell what model it is, what year it is, if its old or new, nothing. so you cant really say the car is ugly.

women who cover from head to toe, you cant tell anything about them either. some of them believe if you know the color of their skin, you already know to much information about them. its called modesty. how can you not respect that?

well why is it that only Muslims are told what to do,why cant they do what they want, why cant they wear what they want???
Isnt democracy supposed to be about freedom of choice???
Then where is it and why dont we see you "DEMOCRATS" practising it the way it should be practised???

So it looks like to me that "hungvan" has an idea that people who are nude look pretty and nude to her,is that so???

Re: What do you think about the HIjab

Its demeaning to be judged by the way you look. If nething u should be judged by ur words, ur intelligence and what u have to say, so a burqah and hijaab helps with that. Ur gonna have to listen to what women say to judge them rather than looking at what the women look like. Thats democracy, not to be judged by ur appearances!

Also in a democracy we have a right to choose what we wear, and i choose to wear a burqah and hijaab! because i know the importance of wearing it in my religion.

You are having problem with your IMAAN! You will find the solution for that in ISLAM! You cant measure people by their external feature!

The WOMEN without the HIJAB is the most UGLIEST!

Ask from the people who wears HIJAB how they feel FREE, CONFIDENCE, COURAGE when they wore the Hijab!

Dont be afraid of the Enviornment but the Home in which the child grows should be a good one means it should be ISLAMIC! Responsibilty is with the Parents.

From the begining teach them about QURAN, ISLAM, PRAYER, IMAAN, TAQWA, etc! Foundation should be a STABLE! after that you dont need to bother about them! Inshallah they will protect by Almighty inshallah!

Please dont be misguided into thinking that its democracy that gives you the right not to bu Judged by your appeareance.....Islam gave you this right long before democracy was even introduced.....

Islam came and eradicated the evil of classing and judging people......Islam freed all and gave women the freedom that you now have....its only now that the west claims to be advocating democracy and blah blah blah....

              there own women are enslaved......

Well that is completely true that islam was there first and will always be,but then i guess our sister was just using that to explain the concept to Hungvan.

well praise allah your views arent representative of all non mulims hungvan

i was abroad a while back and in the airport ladies sorting out my hijaab. this non muslim woman came in a starts shouting in something native and touching my head and holding my hijaab end, literally flapping about spouting gibbering so i said 'i dont understand, I SPEAK ENGLISH', and she said 'oh' 'very nice you muslim women look with your shawls'

the hijaab and jilbaab are emancipating. judge me on the token of my words not on the length of my hem line
Sayyiduna Umar (Allah be pleased with him) said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) say, “If you relied on Allah as He should be relied on, He would provide for you as He provides for birds.

Do not try to run away from trials and tribulations, but endure them with patience. They cannot be avoided, and there is nothing for it but to endure them with patience. How can you expect the whole of this world, and all that has been created therein, to undergo change and transformation just to suit your convenience? The Prophets are the best of all creatures, yet they have always had to suffer afflictions and so it is for their followers, those who tread in their footsteps as they walk along their highway, emulating their example.

That just reminded me of the book 'From My Sisters Lips'. The author relates the anecdote of when she goes to Egypt and she sees a sister wearing hijab. When she went to ask her why she covered herself...the Egyptian sister replies by saying 'I want to be judged for what I say and what I do, not for what I look like.'...Yeah so erm I thought I'd just mention it:S lol

i was walking in a shopping centre with friend who wears full nikab. and a skinhead with many piercings approached to ask us 'where can i get one of these veil things?' - he was totally serious as well
another type a nice old lady at the laundrette asked me 'why do your women cover their faces? ' she was just curious
another time some teenagers snatched the veil from my friends face in a market. that was awful.
