Where - 5 Lads, 310 High Road, Leyton, E11

When - January 2016

Getting There - Easy to get there by car, plenty of parking after 7pm, before then may be a struggle because of residents permit parking only.

First Impressions - A clever copy of the famous '5 Guys' chain, that specialises in Burgers and other such fast foods. To save on the franchise costs, named it 5 Lads...clever eh :) Its a clean restaurant, with seating areas to cater for small and medium sized groups. In total, it could probably seat around 20 people. Ok to take your family there too, not just a 'lads' meal place.

Food Ordered - Gourmet Burger ( lamb ), Chops, Peri Peri Chicken Quarter

Food taste - The Burger is well done, hearty and not your cheap thin rubbish. Its appears to be freshly prepared on site ( I am talking about the patty itself ), and it is not a standard burger. I found it be very good, and the bun is also soft and again, not just a standard bap. The missus loved the Peri Peri chicken, she said it was better than Nandos :hypnotysed: Chops were decent, but a bit overcooked for me.

Cost - cheap and cheerful

Verdict - I would visit again, and recommend this place. Good food at a good price.

Alternatives - omg...loads....lol
