Yeah. It definitely can and does become something of an obsession for some of us. I used to be much more into it myself. Far too much of thought and energy goes into it and what starts out as something enjoyable and beneficial becomes a negative.
With myself II found I was injured more often than not and it hampered everyday things... And the extra size meant I was getting tired quicker, even started getting things chest pains.
Last few years I've dropped all that and just do it to keep a level of strength that's been built up over the years, to keep in decent shape and possibly even moreso, for the mental benefits of it.
I was going to ask, do you have some sort of serious injury, atm?
