  • Day 6:

    Did a workout an hour before iftar yesterday,
    4 sets of:
    8/7/6/5x reps close grip pullups
    8/7/6/5x reps diamond pushups
    Then 4 sets of blood flow restriction:
    8/7/6/5x reps each arm assisted one arm pullup
    8/7/6/5x reps body weight (on knees) skull crushers
    Then finished off with 3mins x 3 rounds of hitting the heavy bag.

    Wondering if I should take a day off today.

      Took a rest yesterday, but still had to do some digging in the backyard.

        Had a football match which I'll count. 11 a side. We were absolutely mullered. 6-0.

        • I've been very busy the past 2 weeks so I didn't do anything but I did walk ALOT!

          I worked out yesterday but today I feel pretty sick so I don't think its going to happen today.

            8/7/6/5x reps each side assisted single leg squat
            Then 4 sets of blood flow restriction:
            8/7/6/5x reps pike push up
            8/7/6/5x reps weighted hip thrusts
            Then finished off with 3mins x 3 rounds of hitting the heavy bag.

            Didn't get much sleep last night, really tired, don't know if I'll work out today.

              8/7/6/5x reps decline pushups
              Then 4 sets of blood flow restriction:

              8/7/6/5x reps weighted pushups
              Then finished off with 3mins x 3 rounds of hitting the heavy bag.

              Gonna do something similar again today, Inshallah.

                Day 12:

                Did a workout less than an hour before iftar yesterday,
                4 sets of:
                8/7/6/5x reps close grip pullups
                8/7/6/5x reps weighted pushups
                Then 4 sets of blood flow restriction:
                8/7/6/5x reps pronated close grip inverse rows
                8/7/6/5x reps each side assisted one arm pushup
                Ran out of time for the heavy bag

                Day 13:

                Did a workout less than an hour before iftar today,
                4 sets of:
                8/7/6/5x reps assisted handstand pushup
                8/7/6/5x reps reverse hyperextensions
                Then 4 sets of blood flow restriction:
                8/7/6/5x reps pike pushups
                8/7/6/5x reps each side weighted side squat
                Ran out of time for the heavy bag

                    8/7/6/5x reps floor dips
                    Then 4 sets of blood flow restriction:
                    8/7/6/5x reps supinated inverted rows
                    8/7/6/5x reps pushups
                    Then finished off with 3mins x 3 rounds of hitting the heavy bag.

                    Day 15:

                    Did a workout less than an hour before iftar yesterday,
                    4 sets of:
                    8/7/6/5x reps assisted handstand pushup
                    8/7/6/5x reps reverse hyperextensions
                    Then 4 sets of blood flow restriction:
                    8/7/6/5x reps pike pushups
                    8/7/6/5x reps each side weighted lunge

                    The straps I use to hang my heavy back are ripping, so I need to fix that, skipping heavybag training until I fix that.

                    Day 16:
                    I'm taking the day off today, not too tired, but I just feel like my body needs the recovery.

                        • Just went in earlier after taraaweeh. First time doing weights since Ramadan began. Been doing non-weights much more often. Taraaweeh has been physically tiring but mentally exhausting... (Despite that, Alhamdulillaah, it's been fantastic to be at a masjid this year instead of at home.)

                          Haven't had it in me to go and lift heavy till earlier... Alhamdulillaah. Felt good.

                          • I finally managed to get back on track the past couple of days. Alhamdullillah.

                            I have a plan for this ramadan. Im doing very targeted workouts. More strength training rather than cardio.

                            I don't think I will do anything today because I woke up so late for some reason and missed out on so many other things I needed to do so I need to make up for them now but I will be back at it again tomorrow inshallah.

                            • I have been doing pretty good this ramadan. I think I've done everything I wanted to pretty much every day.

                              I want to cut back a bit on my plan though because I am pretty tired these days and I don't want to feel Like I MUST work out even when I am exhausted. But I won't cut back too much, I still need some things in place to make sure I don't fall off the rails again.
