  • The Iftar Thread

Because I'm hungry .....yes already ...

What do you plan on eating for iftar?
    What do you usually eat?
What did you actually have for iftar?

    Feel free to share pictures

    Talk to me about food!

Had a search and could not find this thread already existing ...feel free to merge if it does

We usually have chaat, we make it pretty basic in my house, a very small portion of fruit and samosas.
Needs to be improved as its not particularly healthy

May as well add Sehri in ....made two egg & toast sandwiches (didn't get time to finish them) and two glasses of water.
Give it another week or so when my sleep pattern goes completely haywire ...at that point I usually down a glass of water and pass out every night for the remainder of the month

So I took the plunge, and decided to go Keto this month - In Sha Allaah. My memory is terrible, and I feel like I need a challenge.

For Iftaar - it will be something like tuna, lettuce, eggs, cucumber, water and tea.

If only I could take the plunge too. What a perfect opportunity. Crabs is everything in our house. But I'm working on cutting it down and have been somewhat successful.

Ramadan is always the best time for a restrictive diet.

That sounds like a salad ....is that going to be filling enough?

I will let you know... But I think it will be more than enough In Sha Allaah.

I am fond of Samosa Chaat btw - I guess I will have to put that aside and stick to this for as long as possible.

That looks nice. Is that Persian food? Pakistanis have a variation of that too.

Sorry. I should have known that's what you meant.

Yeah. It's one of our more traditional and expensive dishes. I usually like to start off the beginning of Ramadan eating all of my favourite meals.

Is your husband/son going to be satisfied with this or do you have to prepare a separate course for them?

                              oh and lemonade
