I used to drink semi-skimmed milk, now I only drink free-range organic whole milk, they taste better even though high in fat, who cares you have to die one day anyways.  Has anyone noticed difference between organic and non-organic milk? organic milk seems to be more creamy.

Oh wow you used to live in Eire? Where abouts? What was it like? I've always wanted to go there. Even cooler that you kept goats.

I've heard that homogenised milk is harder to digest so cos I had digestion problems, I did switch to unhomogenised organic full fat milk but I don't remember it making any discernible difference in my case. Now I'm trying to avoid cows milk altogether for health reasons. It seems to make my throat issues a bit worse, but I haven't given up dairy completely (still have a bit of ghee or cheese from time to time).

Homegenization is a process by where the milk is forced through tiny holes under pressure which breaks up the fat globules, changing the characteristics of the milk, as the fat no longer comes to the top and is dispersed.
There is light homeginization and a more extreme version.
Milk in the UK has been slowly becoming more processed as it has been deregulated into the private sector.
Shelf life has increased to weeks .. but "human shelf life" seems to be getting shorter. Alas!

I used to keep goats in the Republic of Ireland (Eire).
I didn't really want to come back to UK .. had little choice really.

I have drunk cow milk all my life. I never tried any other milk.

I would love to try goat milk and camel milk.

Blue top cuz my parents didn't know you were meant to switch to green so I grew up with it. Sometimes green top. When I was dieting I had red.. really watery. I loved evaporated milk in my tea. I like sweetened soy milk as well. For smoothies I like coconut and Almond.

I used to use it in my porridge and found it tasted better than using cows milk. I recommend that people buy unsweetened and organic milks wherever possible.
