It was narrated that Abû Hurayrah (may Allâh be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allâh (blessings and peace of Allâh be upon him) said: “Whoever removes a worldly hardship from a believer, Allâh will remove one of the hardships of the Day of Resurrection from him. Whoever grants respite to (a debtor) who is in difficulty, Allâh will grant him relief in this world and in the Hereafter. Whoever conceals (the fault of) a Muslim in this world, Allâh will conceal him (his faults) in this world and in the Hereafter. Allâh will help a person so long as he is helping his brother.”

The situation in Shâm is severe, as it is also many Muslim countries. If you are in a position to help, then there are a number of good charities & local aid efforts taking place. If there isn't such an effort in your locality, consider starting the effort and/or working in co-operation with other reputable charities or brothers/sisters doing this work (see links below for some).

Remember if you are not able offer financial support, then even the act of following the social media profiles (liking, sharing posts etc) of those Muslims involved in aid work is of benefit.

This video is from a few days ago showing tents catching fire at 'Al-Karama' (camp for displaced families in Idlib) & as a result two little girls (reported to be six years old) sustaining severe burns.
