It is well known that the light of the sun is
the result of the energy release from the nuclear fusion taking
place on it's surface permanently and due to it's mass, as it
is typical for a yellow dwarf (contrary to a red giant) star,
it is in a permanent state of explosion. This explosion is only
held back by its huge mass and the gravitational force of the
millions of billions of tons of plasmatic helium and hydrogen
substance. This is a delicate balance.
The light of the sun is a result of the friction
caused by the complicated rotation of plasmatic mass. The light
is the excess energy converted into electromagnetic waves and
it contains all wave lengths of visible and invisible light, UV
and X-rays. It also builds up a magnetic field and nourishes and
balances the whole solar system which turns around it's huge mass.
The light reflects of the surfaces of the objects
in the solar system, such as planets, moons, asteroids and comets.
On planets such as the earth who posses an atmosphere, it is broken
down in it's spectrum into several colours and components and
certain parts of it are filtered out, such as most of the UV-light,
see G1/2. So the earth looks like a blue marble of different colours.
On the moon, which consists mainly of silicium and silicium oxide
and other rocky metals and has virtually no atmosphere, the light
of the sun is almost entirely reflected away and the moon thus
looks white with the nearly complete spectrum of indirect sun
light reaching our eyes. It is only visible due to light of the
sun and does not create any light itself. Thus the above verses
speak for themselves and express clearly that the sun is the light
source, the lamp and the moon only a light, an indirect reflection
of a tiny fraction.
The picture above shows THE SUN IS THE LIGHT SOURCE,
A LAMP, AND THE MOON BEING DIFFERENT. We can associate the following
Ayah:
"It is He Who made the sun to be a shining glory
and the moon to be a light (of beauty)…"
Surah Yunus, 10 Ayah 4
