Allah

Allah tests and rewards the believers

AllahAllah is the only, the individual and the unique creator of the whole known and unknown universe (tawheed). He has sent us prophets and books for guidance and his signs are obvious in our universe. This knowledge (ilm) is the basis of wisdom. Wisdom is only possible through sensual, emotional and reasonable understanding (aql) and leads to certainty (jaqeen). Certainty in the existence of Allah is the only possible defence against trials and it is the essence of belief (iman). Only with certainty (jaqeen) there can be effective practice of Islam and long-lasting invitation to embracing it (dawah). Blind faith is no faith, because it can be shaken at any time and by anyone.

Allah Subhanautallah, the omnipotent creator is the only, individual and unique creator of the whole known and unknown universe, has caused us to be born into great trials and testing for the believers. He has given evil enormous power in order to test us:

"That which is on earth We have made but as a glittering show for the earth in order that We may test them as to which of them are best in conduct"

Surah Al-Kahf Surah 18 Ayah 7

The only way to find the truth and hold firm to it is knowledge, proof and certainty. Wisdom is a result of true knowledge, knowledge about the truth. Knowledge is the key to understanding Allah's word:

"269 He granteth wisdom to whom He pleaseth; and he to whom wisdom is granted receiveth indeed a benefit overflowing; but none will grasp the message but men of understanding"

A. Yusuf Ali Quran Translation
Surah Al-Baqara Surah 2 286 Ayahs

"7. He it is Who has sent down to thee the Book: in it are verses basic or fundamental (of established meaning); they are the foundation of the Book: others are allegorical. But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part thereof that is allegorical seeking discord and searching for its hidden meanings but no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah and those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our Lord"; and none will grasp the Message except men of understanding"

A. Yusuf Ali Quran Translation
Surah Al-i'Imran Surah 3 200 Ayahs

"67. And from the fruit of the date-palm and the vine ye get out wholesome drink and food: behold in this also is a Sign for those who are wise"

A. Yusuf Ali Quran Translation
Surah An-Nahl Surah 16 128 Ayahs

"24. And among His Signs He shows you the lightning by way both of fear and of hope and He sends down rain from the sky and with it gives life to the earth after it is dead: verily in that are Signs for those who are wise"

A. Yusuf Ali Quran Translation
Surah Ar-Rum Surah 30 60 Ayahs

The different ways that lead to understanding are described like this in the Quran and it's frequent reading with understanding demands thought, practices the procedure of thinking and leads to a constantly improved understanding. Allah is one (S112: V1).
Acknowledging the existence of Allah, his oneness and the beauty of his creation, is the root of guidance through submission to Allah, which is the only way to peace and happiness in this life and the hereafter, because once we have proof, we have assurance:

"4. And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee and sent before thy time and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter"

A. Yusuf Ali Quran Translation
Surah Al-Baqara Ruku 1 Surah 2
Madina (87) 286 Ayahs

Such people are able to defend their faith, both physically and mentally, with the help of Allah. It is important to erase any little bit of doubt. That can only be the case, if we can answer all the questions from ourselves, our children or even those of others and nonbelievers. We, the Islamic Forum on Science and Art, want to contribute to that process. Nobody should be able to shake our belief (Iman) so that we can fulfil our duty which is to read (iqraa) and understand the word of Allah first ourselves and to proclaim and invite others (dawah) to do the same:

"1 Proclaim! (or Read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher Who created
2 Created man out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood:
3 Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful
4 He Who taught (the use of) the Pen
5. Taught man that which he knew not"

A. Yusuf Ali Quran Translation
Surah Al-Alaq Surah 96 19 Ayahs
