As decadent as the other statues and idols in Britain. Its not art, its not shocking its just symptamatic of the fall of the western mind.

i don't think he forgot about the arms. the subject of the sculpture didn't have any in the first place.
The thing I find interesting is that the man on the famous column is Admiral Nelson - who had quite a lot of his limbs shot off.
But I'm glad the new statue is not in my city, just don't like it. Although Muslim Girl's reaction of "nudity, sex, etc, they jus have it on the brain 24/7, jeez" merely confirms her as a girl, not a woman.

I looked over and saw this hunk of junk on the BBC screen next to my computer. What a rediculous piece of work shoved down the throat of general public. If I lived close to it I would cover it up or demand it was knocked down or removed. Who wants to look at this? let some Lesbian or Royal put it out by their pool or somthing!
i saw a programme about a woman who looks exactly like that statue.
yeh its not digusting because she has no arms, that normal, its nasty because she's naked.![]()

It seems some folks dont like our ways. Thems should mind thems own business.
I think its great if disabled people live a independent life but that dosent have much to do with looking a naked statue of them when I drive to work in the morning!

ok, she is a remarkable woman but her being naked has nothing to do with her disabilities, why does she have to be naked? is there a message there that im missing?
if i looked at that, i would think, "jus another naked statue"
i wouldnt be thinking, "what a remarkable woman because of her disablities"

a naked lady statue... jeez why can't some private collector buy it and store it in his bedroom instead of imposing it onto the public.
Stick a jilbaab or something on the statue then it's fine, o/w its the nudity that bothers everyone not the disability.

yeah this women is quite a remarkable one, I've seen on tv and she does cope very well with her disabilities so she could be an inspiration to others. (yeah she is the one wiv the son called paris to who asked that)
but I dont like the statue either. I jst dont get how it is an honour to hav a naked statue of urself made for all to seeif someone made a naked statue of one of us and displayed it I think we would see it as a humilation rather than as something good... so I dont reli get it

hi all, i work with disabled people and asked them about it..i too disagreed with it being naked..but they stated that its naked because she lives in a society that says she ugly, where many people dont want to accept her and would prefer not to see her disabilties.. so she basically showing she is happy with her body and proud of herself which i can understand, its not been done for titillation but more to do with " this is me and i like myself & like my body" but iam not sure if it as that effect on the viewer, how many people make the connection she wants them to..also by being naked does it bypass her most important strengh's her will & and mind??

just imagine what her poor son is going through. anyone would be messed up for life if they had to see their mum's naked body.
