Listen to Quran whilst staring at the clouds.

The occasional nap or snack during the flight would also occur.

You can download something on your phone and watch,, read something and listen to something while eating. Also make constant prayer becasue there is a chance you will never make out alive .
    Ya Allah,
Make me a stronger person today. Make me a better person out of all these. It is no longer bearable for me for my heart is aching and You are the only One who knows how I feel. Nothing is making sense to myself and for anyone else for that matter especially to the one person I wish to understand me better than anybody else.

I'd probably do most of those. 12 hours is a long time to do something continuously.

Probably won't have internet so have some pre-downloaded reading material/audio lectures or read from Muhammad: Son of Abraham, Brother of Moses, Successor of Jesus by Ekram Haque ~500 pages.

My last 12 hour flight I spent perhaps 6 hours in total reading / sleeping / watching etc and the last 6 getting up every 15 minutes to alleviate the cramp I had.

Trying not to vomit and chugging down ginger drinks like a machine. I had a terrible time on a 7 hour flight, anything more than that is a terrifying notion.

I can't read, eat or sleep properly whilst flying because of the motion sickness. I tried watching stuff to take my mind off the churning but in the end I sat and watched the flight path on the monitor.

Even thinking about it now makes me nauseous :s

    Economy? The horror!

Went business class to the US (12 hour flight) and had those chairs that went flat like a bed. It was easy.

Other than that I would recommend sleep, watching something, chatting, reading, drawing, planning what you are going to do at your destination.

The positive is that when you have done a few 12 hour flights, 8 hour flights seem a breeze.

I can't concentrate on flights so avoid anything that requires me to learn.

It's not bad, it's chilling out time but sometimes you can't wait to get out, walk and breathe the fresh air. I watch the TV, use the internet. I avoid talking because it's too difficult for me to make that effort. My mood is unpredictable.

The toilets are really horrible (economy) there is always someone waiting to go and it's hard not to go. If you're sitting next to the window. Good luck man, good luck. It's a hurdle and someONE is always sleeping so it's a tricky situation to get across. You'll end up getting cursed. Lmso

Last time I kept looking at the man snoozing (he was sitting at the end), he would move his eyes a little and I'd wait in anticipation hoping he'd wake up. I had to wait for sometime fidgeting.

Horrid. Once that bit is over you have to wait in the queue

I suffer with ear aches/pops makes me so moody it's really scary.

What a great experience though lol

    Damn thts long...
You probably will fly A380 on both sectors or a dreamliner depending on which airline so not too bad I suppose inshaallah, either a stopover in Dubai or Doha or Abu Dhabi.
Suggest take a day or two break in the middle it helps.
I would think sitting on top of the wing also helps ,less turbulance effect.

Lol , window is easier on a 2,4,2 seating config ,but long distance wide body jets are mostly 3,4,3 now so yeah with Window you have an obstacle race.

Toilets man lets not go there..but got to make do.
Business class ain't that diff though ,less people yeah.

Re: What would you do on a 12-hour flight

Subhana'Allah, not big fan of long flights. I wish, I could take train, that I can walk around a bit. (and I'm not that tall)
    Listening Quran
    making duas
    Sleeping
Reading something what I always wanted, but never had time.
Am I traveling by myself or with company question was open...Imagine, I have awesome company to talk all those hours

Watch a couple films, read, sleep, eyeball the attractive stranger on the opposite aisle if you're single. (Kidding) Bring plenty of snacks. Snacks keep me happy on flights.

    Bring a Nintendo Switch.
You think you know more than my scholar's qiyās? He was more learned than you and all other scholars combined. Yeah, the devil was the greatest scholar too and look where his qiyās of fire being better than tīn got him. Sorry.

You follow your scholar's qiyās, and I will follow the Qur'ān and Sunnah.

It may not be easy, you may not understand it, but you need to have the Imaan to trust Allah when life doesn't make sense.
