    Assalamu Alikum

January is very good time to go, you may find it slightly nippy in Madinah at that time of year. It is quiet busy. Feb is very nice weather wise and it is not as busy.

Jazakallahu Khair for your feedback. Wanted to go during a quiet period and so decided January. Insha-Allah everything is booked so no changing now. As long as it's quieter than April. April is just to busy.

Sea change for agents this year in addition to early on set of the season. Hence I can safely say no agents in UK or USA etc are ready with their contract just yet. I suspect it may take at least three weeks if an agent has to make a fresh start today.

The 14 days rule is from the Saudi government. However, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs allows a period of 30 days to the pilgrim within which he has to enter Saudi Arabia. They also allow a duration of upto 30 days of stay once the pilgrim arrives but that is not a license for them to stay the allowed 30 days period. Rather it is a flexibility directed at the bulk group organisers who often run into difficulties with airliner schedules.

Don't know how true this is but someone has told me who I choose to get my visa through will impact how long I spend at immigration when I arrive in Jeddah ? He was on about a representative at Immigration ?

    Is this true ?

AOA, can you please clarify . Wasn't this supposed to be for people visiting twice in the same umrah season ?

Need your input with your experience as always.
Is it only those who have travelled 1438 or is it anyone last 3 years?

We are planning to go in December, haven't bought the tickets but if its a three year thing, then we will not be able to afford to go

Circular, received from our Umra contractors in Saudi, from Ministry of Haj simply says that the visa charge is payable by anyone who have performed umra in 1438AH. Either it is a clear cut statement and to be read as such or we hold our breath because of its ambiguity.

I have always maintained this stance that Hajj and umrah are now the biggest source of revenue for cash strapped kingdom which is squandering money left right and centre and which now blatantly rips the pilgrims off in different guises. Recent news story in one of Saudi newspapers had clearly mentioned that Saudis intend to raise 15 billion US dollars by 2021 purely by Umrah and hajj operations. It is no doubt the biggest asset they have got after oil.

What was the rule last year regarding going as a mahram. I went umrah last December and planning to go this December with the Mrs who didn't go last year. If I'm going as her mahram do I still need pay?

I just entered my mothers passport details and who went in May 2017 , and it's showing 'Not required to make payment for Umrah Visa'
    🤔
Not sure if the system has been updated .
